I am LOVING this!  The other on the way home from somewhere, Mark and Michael passed a dining room suite sitting on the side of the road.  Michael told Mark that he was going back to check out the chairs.  We have told him, offered on numerous occasions, that we would buy him a new desk chair.  Nope, he's having none of it.  (He's definitely the frugal one of the family)

He has no idea I got pictures of him pickin'!

There he goes up the street in search of new chairs.  He decided to get two...one for him and one for a friend.  Always thinking that boy!

Checking them out, deciding which ones are the best.

Finally made a decision.

Headed back to the house.

He is thrilled with his first pick!  And so am I.  Only one problem...you can hardly move in his room.

Just another proud day for this mom!

A New Generation Is Born

This little project has been a long time in the making.  Sarah made it for me!  Crafty little wonder she is turning into.

Love it...now to find some empty wall space.

Was It Christmas or My Birthday?

A few weekends ago we went to WV to have a shower for my niece.  My cousin comes bearing a gift for me.  And she knows what I love...

The piece of wood with a cut out is awesome.  And the two little wooden 'banister tops' add a nice touch.  On the opposite wall in the bathroom, I have a frame made from wood that Kim gave me from her grandparent's house.  It has lots of peeling paint.  I love ita ll!

A Surprise Treasure

I'm On A Roll

...If I do say so myself.
A friend of mine sent me a text with a picture of a goat plaque today.  I thought it was cute and the price was not bad... $8.00.  But I thought I might be able to find a scrap piece of wood in the garage.  Instead of writing with a black Sharpie I decided to get out the little wood burner that Mark got me a few months ago along with a little black paint that I have hidden in the Art Closet.

My version is on top...$0.00.  Let me just say it one more time...Nailed it!

I still need to get a piece of wire and some little scraps of fabric to dress it up a bit.

Nailed It Once Again
