One of the yahoos added a daisy to the bike seat.  Looks like it might be time to cut back the hosta for winter.

Stick Project #1 Complete

. Saturday, September 6, 2014 .
When we stopped at Uncle Jody's Junk in Harrodsburg, KY during the 127 Longest Yard Sale, picked up 10 tobacco stakes that Jody had in a pile.  Joe, Jody's dad, said I could have as many as I wanted, I could have taken the entire pile but thought that might be a little much.  So I took 10.  I knew just what I wanted to do with them.  Mark and I got busy with both projects tonight but only completed the object that these five stakes made.  And I was so excited about having another egg (check out the Notta Lotta Farm blog) that I forgot to take a picture of the finished project.  I'll do that first thin int he morning and post it.

Last time we were visiting Cassie and crew, I saw something at a really cool place called Green Oak Antiques.  I had the rakes and fork just waiting for the right project.  Only wish I had looked at the construction a little better or maybe even take a picture.  Mark and I thought we had one of these really cool things completed only for it to fall apart when we tried to put in in the ground.  Tomorrow he promises to bring home some wire.  Think we might have better luck putting it together that way.  Again a picture is coming!

Hmmmm...What Could These Become?

. Thursday, August 7, 2014 .
Awhile back my sweet neighbor gave me this shutter.  It hung around leaning against the bricks between the garage doors until the other night when I woke up knowing just what I was going to do with it...paint it with chalkboard paint and hang it on the fence.  The ever so handy husband of my sweet neighbor that gave me the shutter, shaved about 1/2 inch off the top so I could fit it here...in just the perfect spot. Today the yahoos helped me hang it and they made sure it was going to be alright.  Thinking it will be a great addition to the fun in the new and improved Wammyville setting.  And the liitle chair came from Uncle Jody's Junk on the 127 World's Longest Yard Sale in Harrodsburg, KY.  Love  it!

You Just Never Know When An Idea Will Come To You

My handy dandy neighbor, Mr. John, made this for me a few years ago.  I love all the time he took to make all the details and the artwork!

I found this sunflower birdhouse on side of the road somewhere.  It reminded me of our house on Sunflower Lane in WI.

I have had these next few for so long that I really can't remember where I found them.

I do know that Michael, my dad and I made these and they were featured in a DIY Made Easy PROJECTS magazine from New Zealand.  Yep...it is a published pattern...Feb/Mar 2009.
See blog about it here.

This one could be on it's last legs.

My very creative and handy neighbor, Mr. John, made this for me.  It has a suction cup on the back so you can fix it on a window and watch the bird activity inside.  We never were lucky enough to get any birds to build a nest.  So now it is on the fence with all the other birdhouses.  I know there are a few more out there...just need to remember where they are.

A Few Good Birdhouses

Mark it down...Michael got out of the van and garbage picked the red wagon while we were passing papers.   A first that he told me would never happen again, ever in his lifetime.

I have been looking for ice cream chairs.  Mark brought them home after one of his Tater Ridge runs.  I found the chicken feeder in the rafters of the barn.  So many projects and all summer to do them...I've got a million of them!

A Couple More Pots

. Friday, April 11, 2014 .
My gardening friends know me very, very well.  Miss Donna gave me this jewel of a pot.  I love It!

I've never seen one like it before.  Someone spray painted it blue.  With a little help from a wire brush I was able to 'clean it up' a bit.

I love clay pot, especially ones that are not like all the other that you see in garden centers and nurseries.

My Big Blue Pot

Yesterday Betsy and I took the morning to get our Pinterest on.  We traveled to JoAnn's for some quilting fabric, Michael's and Hobby Lobby for paint pens, and other things we couldn't live without.  So this morning after sleeping in,I rewarded myself with a little time to create after taking care of all my regular jobs, minus the yahoos...it is Spring Break.  I even made a batch of Mark's grandmother's oatmeal cookies.  Ahhh, Spring Break feels so good.

Now what to do with the rest of the white plates?  Oh, not to worry I have a few ideas up my sleeve.

Working On Me Some Pinterest Pins

. Saturday, February 1, 2014 .
I have had several friends saving animal food bags.  You know those 50 pound dog food bags.  I finally made it to the 'other side of town' and picked a bunch up...Thanks Sharone Racer!  So I guess you could technically say that I did not pick these.

Storing them in the garage...with all my other treasures!  Much to my families dislike.  Maybe I could get them to build me a little shop to work out of.  Hmmmm, thinking on that!

Probably the hardest part is cleaning out the crumbs and waiting for them to dry.

I have made six and these are the only two left.  Looks like I had better get back to work.  They are great for packing snow gear, Farmers Market purchases, and stuff in general.

Bag, Bags, and More Bags

Years ago when the girls were in college I made doorstops for them...one for each month they were in college.  I know they just loved that.  When I was digging around for all of my snow people to put out in the month of January, I found this guy!

Just an old brick and some paint.

Wish Pinterest had been around then.

Brick Snowman

I saw this on Pinterest before Christmas and thought it was cute. So I got under the sink in the cabinet and found three vases......not a really great choice and I will tell you why...all that mattered is that they were going to be trash to treasure and not cost a cent.

The glass containers should probably have had straight up and down.  It was a real challenge to get them straight across (which I didn't do very well) and then there is all the excess vinyl that I have no idea what to do with. The  shepherds and sheep went on fine.  I cut the Wise Men and camel out and placed them separately.  And then the manger scene...what a challenge.  Because it is on an angle and curved, there is lots of excess.  I just smooched it all together...made it look real rustic.  Thank heavens you can really see it in the pic or if you stand back.  Come Christmas I will fill them about a third of the way with regular salt and add a thick while candle.  I'm liking it!  Next time I make them I am going to use empty pickles jars from the fridge.  Already have one in the wings waiting.  I got the vinyl Nativity cutouts off Etsy (click and I will take you there).
